Dr. Moscowitz, MD, Medical Director
Dr. Joyce A. Moscowitz has been practicing medicine for 34 years, and has 10 years in Emergency Medicine as well as 10 years in Urgent Care medicine. Dr. Moscowitz graduated from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1980, where besides earning her medical degree, she participated in the medical scientist training program, tutoring other medical students and teaching neuroanatomy. Afterward, she completed a year of pediatric training at Stanford and subsequently completed the Family Practice residency at South Nassau community hospital. Dr. Moscowitz practices medicine at Doctors Express Urgent Care Center in Danbury, CT. specializing in Family Medicine and Urgent Care Medicine. She enjoys hiking, horse back riding and swimming. Dr. Moscowitz has a daughter who is studying nursing. Dr. Moscowitz speaks fluent Spanish.
Dr. Specht, MD
Dr. Evangeline Specht is a board certified Internist who has been practicing medicine in the United States for over 30 years. Dr. Specht was the Area Medical Director for Connecticut and Springfield, Massachusetts for Concentra and has done Occupational Medicine for more than 20 years. Dr. Specht enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
Haig- Physician Assistant
Haig graduated from University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Allied Health Sciences and went on to get his Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Before coming to Doctors Express he worked in Orthopedic surgery. When not busy providing the best service possible at Doctors Express he can be found powerlifting, hiking and tinkering with cars. Haig speaks limited Armenian.
Jay- PA-C
Jay has been a Physician Assistant for eleven years. He graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 1993 with a degree in exercise physiology. He later went on to PA school at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, graduating in 2002. From there he practiced as an orthopedic PA for 5 years in both North Carolina, and later in Danbury. Jay was an Emergency Room PA at Danbury Hospital for 6 years prior to coming to Doctors Express giving him the perfect training for urgent care. He is looking forward to taking care of patients in a calmer, less hectic atmosphere than the ER. In his spare time Jay enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing golf, exercising, and watching sports.
Jens- Physician Assistant
Born in a tiny town on the prairie, Jens has always had his eyes on the outside world. This has taken him on travels on 4 different continents, and inspired him to work with others to create primary care clinics in Ecuador, Haiti, and Uganda. He speaks several languages and is highly knowledgeable in the field of travel medicine. His work experience has included pediatrics, family practice, neonatal care, and Emergency Medicine. He is a single father of two young sons with whom he is planning to raise chickens with this coming Spring–just ask him!
Alyssa- Lead RT, Mill Plain Site Mgr.
Alyssa studied radiology at Gateway Community College where she trained at many Connecticut hospitals, including Yale New Haven Hospital and the VA hospital in West Haven. She enjoys working one-on-one with patients as well as working side-by-side with the Doctors Express physicians. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys riding her quad and coaching Pop Warner cheerleading.
Aimee- Registered Medical Assistant/Licensed Phlebotomist
Aimee has extensive experience in primary care, urgent care, vascular and dermatology. She received her medical assistant and phlebotomy licenses in 2009 from Stone Academy. In her free time Aimee loves playing softball.
Andrea- Medical Assistant
Andrea recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western Connecticut State University with a BS in Biology. She is looking forward to continuing her studies to reach her goal of becoming a Physicians Assistant. In the meantime, she is enjoying her work at Doctors Express Danbury, as well as playing softball and spending time with her dog Luna.
Ketina- Medical Assistant
Ketina has been in the medical field in the Greater Danbury area since 1997. A single parent of 1, Ketina put herself through Riddley Lowell Institute while working full time as well. Ketina does not have have a lot of free time!
Macarena- Medical Assistant
Macarena has been a Medical Assistant for 6 years. Prior to her time at Doctors Express she worked in an Internal Medicine office. Currently in school for her nursing degree at Norwalk Community College, Macarena will be graduating with her RN degree in May of 2016. Macarena is fluent in Spanish.
Cleo Marie- Front Desk
Cleo is a senior at Danbury High School. Once she graduates she plans on pursuing a medical career in the United States Air force. She would like to specialize in Emergency/Critical Care Medicine. She has been in the A.F.J.R.O.T.C program for her entire 4 years at D.H.S and from the start has been an active member in her community. Doing so has taught her the importance of others before self . Working at Doctors Express has allowed her to continue to be able to provide and advocate for patient and their needs.
